The Safe Cell is has been deemed a Class XIV Munition by the United States Department of State Directorate of Defense Controls. American Safe Room, Inc. has been awarded a US State Department registration. Here is the registration document.

We have successfully and legally exported many orders to both private companies and governments worldwide - but we can and do ship the Safe Cell to any US address without an export licence. Most orders for stock items ship within two days.

Any company manufacturing legitimate NBC air filtration equipment within the US must by law be registered with the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, US State Department:

§ 122.1 Registration requirements.

(a) Any person who engages in the United States in the business of either manufacturing or exporting defense articles or furnishing defense services is required to register with the Office of Defense Trade Controls.

Manufacturers who do not engage in exporting must nevertheless register.

This requirement also extends to importers and brokers (anyone who sells munitions).
